From Abu Dhabi / Dubai
There will be an Official Race Bus departing from both Abu Dhabi and Dubai on the morning of the race.
The Abu Dhabi bus will depart from the 'Airport Road' side of the car park of Mushrif Mall, Abu Dhabi at 3am sharp, it will head out of Abu Dhabi passing by Etihad Plaza where it will make a pick up from outside the Abela Supermarket at 3.30am before heading to RAK.
The Dubai bus will depart initially from outside the Dubai Garden Center, Sheikh Zayed Road at 4.10am sharp and then from outside the main gate of the Irish Village at 4.30am sharp.
Buses will NOT wait after the scheduled departure times. The Race Buses have reserved parking close to the Start Line and will stop next to a large 4m high flag indicating 'Race Bus' and either 'DXB' or 'AUH'. Return buses will depart RAK at 11.45am (earlier if completely full, no later than 12pm). Race buses will have the RAK Half Marathon 'running man' in the front window.
From your hotel in Ras Al Khaimah
There will be Race Buses servicing most of the hotels in Ras Al Khaimah on Race Day to transport you (and any supporters too!) to the Race Venue and back. Race Buses are not subject to road closure controls on Race Day and will be able to get you to the start line in the easiest way.
We have multiple buses operating between hotels and each bus will service at least 2 hotels so please DO be careful that you purchase the correct bus ticket for the hotel you wish to travel from and note that each bus may have more than one stop.
The pick-up/drop-off schedule will be published shortly and will also be sent directly to all ticket purchasers by email. Scheduled arrival at the Race Venue is 06:00am.
Buses will stop at and depart from the same location for the return trip.
Race Buses will service the following hotels: The Cove Rotana, Bin Majid Beach Hotel (not Resort), Mangrove Hotel, RAK Hotel, DoubleTree Hotel, Hilton City, Hilton Beach Resort, Acacia Hotel, Al Hamra Village/Fort/Palace Hotels, Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Your purchased bus tickets will be included INSIDE your race pack envelope* with your bib number/pins etc. Each ticket is for a single journey, therefore you will receive two (single) tickets for each trip purchased. Subject to space, it may be possible to purchase tickets on the day but only if space remains once all pre-purchased ticket holders have boarded. Each person must present a valid ticket to the Bus Chaperone upon boarding the bus - if you cannot produce your ticket you will be required to purchase a new ticket to ride one of our Race Buses.
You must remove all belongings from the bus - items left on the bus will be deposited as 'lost property' at the UPS Baggage Desk.
Race Transport is provided by Impala Rent a Car, travel on Race Transport is at your own risk and as a part of the event is covered under the same terms and conditions applicable to your participation.
