Host a Water Station

Host your very own Water Station at the RAK Half Marathon

This is a perfect opportunity for you to get your organization noticed. More than 2,500 runners will be passing by each Water Station along the race course. It’s also possible your Water Station will be captured by our official race photographers or perhaps by one of the TV cameras patrolling the route or even flying overhead!

Apart from being a great branding opportunity for your message, it’s a fun-filled day out for your Water Station Attendants providing lots of great memories and photos too!

How to book your Water Station
There are a maximum of eight (8) Water Stations available in total and these will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Initially each organization may only apply for one Water Station each. Further Water Stations may be assigned to the same organization based on demand.

Use the form below to apply to become a Water Station Host Organization.

Each Water Station consists of 3 tables (2m long) spaced at 10m intervals.

Organizations who request to host a Water Station do so on the understanding that they are making a commitment to the event to fully provide all requirements as listed.

IF AT ANYTIME YOU FIND YOURSELVES UNABLE TO FULFILL YOUR COMMITMENT, PLEASE NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY.

What we need:

  • 8 attendants per Water Station (one to be designated as Water Station Captain, one as Deputy Captain)
  • Branding/decoration/umbrellas/message boards/flags/balloons etc of your organization

What you get:

  • The opportunity to decorate and brand the entire water station.
  • A fun day out and a chance to enjoy team work.
  • The opportunity to see the world’s fastest runners race past you before anyone else!
  • The feel-good factor of being a part of a community event.

Top Tips:

  • Brand your attendants in t-shirts/caps of your organization – this helps promote you and serves to identify your fellow attendants.
  • Remind your attendants to bring a hat, sunglasses and sun-block – they’ll be standing outside for several hours.
  • Each attendant should also bring a ‘Snack Pack’ as they’ll be at their water station for up to 6 hours.
  • Have someone from your organization take a camera and take shots to use in your own marketing or even just on Facebook!
  • Tell as many people as you can what you’re doing and where you’ll be on the day. Encourage them to come and ‘hang out’ at your station and cheer on the runners!
